YD Racer vs YD1 Crank Shafts

Here I have compared a standard 1957 YD1 production bike crank and conrod to that of a the YD Racer. It is quite clear that the 2 model were totally different, with the YD1 obviously manufactured for production, whereas the YD Racer was all hand finished, with high quality components. The YD1 has a pressed in centre spindle as well as a thinner, yet larger diameter crank. The con rods on the YD1 had caged big end bearings and were forged "H" or "bone" section, whereas the YD's has 2 rows of single loose roller bearings in the big end and are polished and knife edged.
